Vacancy: OPEX Specialist / Continuous Improvement

At MPGe, we're continuously building for the future. New technologies, increasing production volumes, and more complex processes require an organization that is committed to continuous improvement. That's why we're looking for a Continuous Improvement / OPEX Specialist.

Vacancy Opex Specialist / Continuous Improvement

Ridderkerk | Full-time | Operations

In this role, you'll focus on analyzing, improving, and optimizing production and workflow processes. You won't just look at how things work today—you'll focus on how they can work even better tomorrow.

One of your first key projects will be the implementation of Heidelberg Prinect Production Manager. The goal is to reduce manual tasks, minimize errors, and further automate the flow of information between Prepress, Planning, and Production.

You'll work closely with Operations, Prepress, Planning, IT, and external suppliers, giving you the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our processes, systems, and ways of working.

What you'll do

As a Continuous Improvement / OPEX Specialist, you ensure that improvement initiatives don't remain PowerPoint presentations or reports—they deliver measurable results on the production floor.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the implementation of Heidelberg Prinect Production Manager.

  • Managing and monitoring project planning, progress, and quality while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyzing production and workflow processes to identify bottlenecks and proactively implement improvements.

  • Developing and implementing new ways of working that reduce manual activities and minimize the risk of errors.

  • Inspiring and engaging employees throughout change processes by guiding them through testing, training, and user acceptance, ensuring successful adoption of new systems and workflows.

  • Helping build and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

What you bring

You thrive in an environment where not everything has been defined yet. In fact, that's exactly what motivates you. You spot opportunities, bring structure, and know how to get people on board with change. You combine strong analytical skills with a practical, hands-on approach.

In addition, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree (HBO level), preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and/or Project Management.

  • Experience with ERP, MIS, or workflow implementation projects.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma (preferred).

  • Experience with change management and organizational transformation.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English.

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, experience within the printing industry, or knowledge of production automation is considered a plus, but is certainly not required.

What we offer
  • Salary between €4,663 and €6,041, depending on experience.

Employment conditions in accordance with the Dutch Grafimedia Collective Labour Agreement (CAO).

  • A key role in the continued professionalization of MPGe.

  • Plenty of room for initiative, ownership, and personal development.

  • Direct impact on our processes, systems, and ways of working.

  • The opportunity to work in a modern production environment equipped with the latest technologies.

  • A company where continuous improvement isn't just a department—it's a mindset.

  • Access to our company fitness program and bicycle scheme.

  • The opportunity to work alongside ambitious colleagues who are building the future of MPGe every day.
